Dulverton Junior School Celebrates Strong Progress and Positive Ofsted Recognition

Dulverton Junior School is proud to share the findings of its latest Ofsted inspection, which recognises the school’s significant progress and strong leadership.

Inspectors highlighted the school’s Good ratings in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and Management, reflecting the positive culture and care at the heart of the school. Pupils were described as happy, safe, and thriving in a nurturing environment where they are “ready, respectful and safe.”

Leadership was praised for its ambition and drive for improvement, with Ofsted noting the successful relocation of the school site and a strengthened sense of community. The school’s commitment to outdoor learning, reading development, and enrichment experiences, such as residentials and the exciting Generation Exmoor curriculum, were all commended.

Executive Headteacher Naomi Philp said:

This report affirms the direction we are heading in and celebrates the positive strides our staff and pupils are making every day. With a renewed curriculum, passionate leadership, and a thriving school community, we are firmly focused on continued growth and improvement.

The report also reflects the overwhelming support of parents, who shared highly positive feedback about the school’s direction, care, and leadership. Their confidence in the school’s leadership and the quality of provision was described as “extremely positive,” showcasing strong home-school partnerships.
