Welcome to After School Clubs at St Dubricius First School

At St Dubricius First School, we believe that learning should not stop at the classroom door. Our after school clubs offer children the opportunity to extend their learning, develop new skills, and discover passions that go beyond the standard curriculum. With our highly skilled staff and partnership with West Somerset Number 1, we provide an enriching and supportive environment for all our students.

A Variety of Clubs to Spark Imagination and Foster Talent

Here at St Dubricius, we aim to cater to a variety of interests, enabling children to explore their potential and develop their abilities.

We currently have the following After School Clubs running:

• Mondays: JAM (Jesus and Me) Club
• Tuesdays: Choir
• Wednesdays: Sports Club with West Somerset Number 1
• Thursdays: Gymnastics Club

Wrap Around Care Provision:

We also have Hedgehog Club running everyday after school until 4.30pm. During this club children can have access to a variety of activities including outdoor play and a healthy snack. There is a cost of £3.50 per session to attend this Club.

Our Breakfast Club runs everyday from 8am, with a cost of £3 per session. During Breakfast Club students can enjoy a healthy breakfast whilst getting ready to start their school day in the calm, social atmosphere.

Through our collaboration with N0.1 West Somerset, we're able to provide high-quality sports instruction at our school. Suzanne and her team bring their expertise to our Sports Club, allowing students to engage in football, cricket, gymnastics, and more. We also offer the opportunity for inter-school sports events, fostering healthy competition and promoting teamwork.

Representing St Dubricius First School: Uniting Competition and Community

At St Dubricius First School, we believe in fostering a sense of pride and camaraderie in our students. One of the most exhilarating ways we do this is through our participation in inter-school sports competitions. Throughout the year, our students have the opportunity to represent our school and compete against other schools within the Moorland Federation and our local area, in sports such as catchball, football, cricket, and gymnastics.

However, our opportunities just just stop at sports. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to show case their talent so there are many other opportunities to shine for our school, such as singing in our choir or being part of the Federation dance troupe.

Participating in inter-school sports competitions provides an exciting platform for our students to challenge themselves, test their abilities, and experience the thrill of competition. By representing St Dubricius, Porlock in these events, students learn the value of dedication, resilience, and teamwork.
