Mrs Helen Hickman

Helen plays a key role in the financial leadership of the Moorland Federation. As Federation Business Manager with lead responsibility for finance, she oversees budgeting, resource planning and the development of strong, reliable financial systems that support all our schools, preschools and nurseries. Her knowledge of educational finance is outstanding and she is highly respected for her clear, thoughtful approach to managing complex budgets and ensuring the best possible use of Federation resources.

Before stepping into this role, Helen gained valuable experience across education settings, including working in a residential college for young adults with additional needs. This background gives her deep insight into school life and the importance of aligning financial decisions with the needs of pupils and staff. Helen also contributes to safeguarding across the Federation as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Outside of work, Helen enjoys dancing, long walks with her dog and spending time in the beautiful Exmoor countryside.
