Helping children enjoy and thrive at lunchtime
We are looking to appoint a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team. This is an important role within our school community, helping to ensure that lunchtime is a safe, happy and positive experience for all children.
As a Midday Supervisor, you will support pupils during lunch, encourage positive play, promote good behaviour and ensure the wellbeing and safety of children at all times. You will help create a calm and enjoyable environment where children feel secure, included and ready to return to learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and values being part of a supportive and collaborative school team.
We’re looking for someone who is:
· Warm, approachable and patient
· Calm and confident in managing groups of children
· Observant and proactive about safety
· Fair, consistent and positive in their approach
· Able to work well as part of a team
· Reliable and punctual
Experience of working with primary-aged children is desirable but not essential. A willingness to learn and a positive attitude are just as important.
Key responsibilities:
· Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground and other areas of the school site
· Promoting positive behaviour in line with school policies
· Supporting children with social interaction and play
· Encouraging healthy eating and good table manners
· Responding to minor first aid needs (training can be provided)
· Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils during the lunchtime period
· Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions back to class
In return, we offer:
· A supportive, friendly team and inclusive school culture
· A positive, purposeful working environment
· Ongoing professional development tailored to your growth
· The opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day
· A Federation-wide ethos of collaboration and care
