Mrs Rachelle Billington

Rachelle is delighted to serve as the Federation SENDCo for the Moorland Federation, supporting all eight schools in delivering high-quality, inclusive provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. With experience across both primary and secondary settings, she brings a wealth of expertise and a deeply rooted commitment to ensuring every child with SEND is understood, valued and given every opportunity to thrive.

Supporting children and young people with additional needs is both Rachelle’s professional focus and personal passion. As a proud mum to four sons, two of whom have SEND diagnoses, she brings a strong blend of lived experience and specialist knowledge to her work. This perspective shapes her compassionate, child-centred approach and her determination to champion positive change across the Federation.

Since joining the Moorland Federation, Rachelle has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the schools, staff and pupils, and she has been touched by the warm welcome she has received from each community. She is dedicated to working closely with families and colleagues to build a supportive, collaborative culture where children’s strengths are celebrated and their individual needs are met with care and ambition.

Outside of school life, Rachelle enjoys spending time with her family and taking part in the activities that keep her connected, grounded and inspired.
